The goal of Punti Cardinali is to create an “educating guidance community” that responds to the area’s needs in terms of labour supply and demand, through high-quality guidance pathways across people’s whole lives.

The Punti Cardinali network

The strength of Punti Cardinali lies entirely in its network.

Schools, municipalities, training providers, businesses and trade associations took part in a widespread, bottom-up design process, sharing their experiences, needs and expectations. Scientific coordination is entrusted to AFORISMA School of Future, the largest independent private school in Southern Italy, which has worked in training and employment in close contact with the local area for over 25 years.

AFORISMA’s method

AFORISMA has adopted a method centred on bottom-up participatory design, based on analysing the needs of potential users throughout the life of the project. Punti Cardinali is a living, dynamic project which, thanks to the work of the Orientation Desks and the contribution of each partner, delivers initiatives that genuinely meet the needs of the groups involved.

The project’s circular model

AFORISMA has set up a network of municipalities that carry out joined-up, interconnected actions, to offer a widespread local service that is as effective and comprehensive as possible, based on a wide range of opportunities.

The initiatives are designed around the idea of a circular service: the Orientation Desks, the backbone of the project, are also points of contact and hubs for workshops and events; Orientation Labs and Job Days are in turn integrated and completed by the desks’ work with each individual.

Who it’s for

In an increasingly complex labour market, Punti Cardinali helps people develop the skills to take an active part in it. The ultimate goal islifelong guidance: supporting people at every stage of their career, especially at the most critical moments, such as the move from school to university, from university to work, or from one job to another.
